Ruhama
Video art - 6.15" April 2018 From the solo exhibition "Ruhama"' Dana Gallery, Yad Mordechai. Curator: Ravit Harari
The video follows the manual production of a brush made of white nylon and golden brass fibers. This is a close-up of a worker's hands. She delicately scatters over the white fiber layers, the very thin "gold" fibers - an action that hints at the familiar legend Rumpelstilzchen. Cynically, the brush that looks like an object full of beauty and refinement is designed to clean tank's cannons. The video sometimes splits into a 'triptych' that simultaneously displays different stages of the brush production. The work is projected as a long and narrow strip - simulating the process of production at the plant
